Flare Size

I'm sure this has been asked before and if so, i apologize.

Have been on the road quite a bit lately at night in Wilson and Karnes Counties and have noticed different size flares.

Some are crazy big and others are barely noticeable.  Next day or so those same flares may be opposite.

I know they are burning off most of the bad gas, but does that tell you anything about the well quality?

Yes and no. Big flare obviously means a lot of gas but looking just at flare size in a vacuum is pretty worthless as to indicating how good a well is. Is this associated gas from oil production? Or gas from a gas / condensate well that is being flared?
