Those two wells were drilled to the SSE (toe down)- into same area as other EF completions by Recoil (heavier oil / OK wells). The AC well was drilled toe up to the NNW / opposite direction. An area of no EF production historically.

Thinking Recoil wanted to test this concept - doubt if they will do that again unless they figure out how to avoid the assumed water fractures.

Thats kind of what we had figured.

Recoil did drill 2 EF wells on the same pad with completion in Feb 2022

Zaiontz-Opiela and Zaiontz-Shirley Zaiontz, hopefully these will be good producers.

Based on your comments, it appears you expect the worst about this well - and it is. Recoil did drill a 7800' lateral into the Austin Chalk / toe up lateral. No record of any fracture stimulation effort or completion on file. Only record of production is 12 MCF in July and August 2021.

I am assuming that they encountered natural fractures in the AC that were water prone with little to no O&G. Historically, there has been some marginal AC production in this area, but if this lateral encountered a strong water bearing fracture, that zone would dominate and kill any viable O&G production.

It is interesting that Denali drilled a similar well a few miles away on strike in 2010 - they plugged that well with no record of completion or production.

Looks like an area that just isn't working for this target interval.
