Anyone in Dimmit Cty have an active lease or well?  If so would you mind sharing any details you're comfortable with?

I have two wells that have been drilled and are scheduled to frac beginning Aug 26.  The frac has been delayed twice, once for simple schedule changes and a second time due to a bridge washout resulting from the recent floods.  Hopefully 3rd time's a charm!

Does Chesapeake have your lease?

Yes, we are with Chesapeake.

Us too.  We've heard nothing from them.  We have an active well but very little activity.  Has not been fraced yet.  Good luck to you!  Keep us posted!

Our first well completed in late March so it puts us almost 6 months to the day for fracking assuming they actualy start Aug 26th as planned.  That said, the original plan was to begin fracking much sooner, closer to the 3 month mark.  I guess it all depends on crew scheduling.  Good luck with your well.

We were drilled well over a year ago with royalty checks starting in July 2013 - my issue is when is Chesapeake coming back to drill the other wells associated with our pad - they have come back and done additional drilling all around us but we have heard thru the local grapevine it could be soon or even as late as 2015 for them to come back to our pad - any thoughts or comments regarding this situation - our location is A1045! One thing I have learned with Chesapeake they are very UNpredictable!

No urgency since unit is HBP. CHK is spread thin with their Utica obligations. Capital allocation and CHK business unit managers fighting for their $$$$.

Wonder what the economics are of one area vs another?

I understand for sure Mark - not completely sure but from what I can tell it seems we have a average well - no complaining on my part as long as there is production - I know there are many variables - I look for them to come back just not sure when - I'm an eternal optimist - which could be good or bad! Thanks!

Longer vs shorter laterals

This may have been discussed at length at some point on this forum so please forgive me if I'm repeating a question that may have been answered.

Six years ago CHK drilled wells with 5000ft laterals; recently they have come back and…
