Has anyone heard if Hunt will be drilling anymore around the first group of wells on 541 between Poth and Kosciusko? The Ziontz and Urbanczyk wells have been good producers for going on the 2nd year now...just wondering if they would be pursuing anymore of that area
Noticed on RRC website that Hunt Oil Company will drill 2 more wells (2H and 3H) on Yosko A Unit. Apparently 1H well was a good one.
Yosko A, 1H is producing 410 bbls oil, 72 MCF gas and 487 bbls water per day, on a 6,477' horizontal bore. Yosko is of particular interest to us since our unit is in close proximity and in the sweet spot between Yosko and Faktor.
Good IP rate. Remember that this is just that - a single day rate. Expect oil volumes ot decline in near term. Water volumes will also drop as spent frac fluid rates decreases over time.
I believe the Yosko wells have been producing for 4 to 5 months and had higher IP rates. Some of the wells near Dewees and Three Oaks have been very good producers. The first Warnken well is still producing well and it is about two years old. If all the wells in this area perform like it, then Hunt has found what they were looking for in the FM 541 trend both east and west of Poth.
EOG did their typical drill a well in two weeks about 1 mile west of Three Oaks two weeks ago. Does anybody have info on it or future wells in this area by EOG?
The Yosko A, 1H figures above are from the well completion test log dated 4-25-13.
If the EOG drill is only two weeks old they have probably not fracked, and even if they have it is doubtful they have had time to set equipment and test. The permit info would be available from RRC search however: http://www.rrc.state.tx.us/data/online/
From a distance, there seems to be another rig near Three Oaks. Is it the EOG well or a workover on an existing site?
You could be looking at Hunt's Yosko unit, which is about .4 miles east of Three Oaks. I drove by last Friday and there wasn't a rig set, but as noted earlier by Mark, two more drills have been permitted. Yosko does have a fair size processing plant installed, however, and you might also be seeing one of the separator towers.

This may have been discussed at length at some point on this forum so please forgive me if I'm repeating a question that may have been answered.
Six years ago CHK drilled wells with 5000ft laterals; recently they have come back and…

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
