Does anyone know how to find the property that my family owns to see if they could be drilling on it.

I'm a little confused because we've received offers from twelve different companies wanting to buy our mineral rights since EOG leased it from us.  On all of the offers except one, they show the property in LaSalle County. From what I understand, we own 10 acres in McMullen Co. and about one acre in LaSalle Co.  I don't know why they would be interested in just the one acre. Here is the only description I have of the properties:

LaSalle County-Abstract 585 - H. Neilson Survey

McMullen County-Abstract 1259, Ccsd & Rgng Rr Co/Lusk, AP Survey, Andrew P. Lusk

The property in McMullen Co. is Tract 54, Section 49, Naylor Jones Ranch.

I've tried to go on the Map Viewer for the railroad, but can't quite understand where both properties are.

Help would be very great!

I found both the abstracts that you have listed. There appears to be no drilling yet but there are locations / wells nearby. Both absracts are in areas of high EOG activity where they are having good results.

Not surprised that you are getting offeres to sell your minerals since EOG wells tend to be really good Eagle Ford completions.

The GIS map viewer can be used to find the two abstracts. First get the map to the county in quesiton. Then use the viewer to find the specific abstract in that county. Both these abstracts are pretty small.

This may have been discussed at length at some point on this forum so please forgive me if I'm repeating a question that may have been answered.

Six years ago CHK drilled wells with 5000ft laterals; recently they have come back and…
